The National Aeronautic Association (NAA) is pleased to announce our Aviation Records Celebration will take place this year in Wichita, Kansas on July 11th at the Kansas Aviation Museum.
As the official record keeper for United States aviation, the NAA tracks dozens of world and national record attempts each year. New U.S. records are certified and those qualifying as world records are then ratified with the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI).
The National Aeronautic Association is proud to announce that several legendary figures in aviation will be joining us for this special celebration. National Aviation Hall of Fame Enshrinee, Wichita Aero Club Trophy recipient, and NAA Distinguished Statesman of Aviation Clay Lacy, along with David Hurley and Bruce McCaw—both honored as Living Legends of Aviation—will be in attendance to share their lasting contributions to aviation.
NAA is pleased to welcome FAI President Greg Principato, who will participate in the official presentation of the aviation records.
Additionally Jeanie Engle, wife of NAA Record Setter, NAA Robert J. Collier Trophy recipient, and NAA Harmon Trophy recipient, the late Major General Joe Engle, USAF will join us to celebrate the record recipients, share memories of Joe, and answer questions about her own NASA experience as featured in the EAA Aviation Museum.
